The armour of the Red Knight is typical of the type used in the middle 15th century for the tilt or joust. Every line of this armour was made functional, each surface shaped to deflect blows from the opponent's weapons and to protect the wearer. A huge crest was sometimes attached to the helmet during this period, which identified the knight and his origin. Removable helmet to show detailed head. Display base with historical date.
